On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, 2023, police officers in St. Louis, Missouri, responded to a call reporting a shooting in the Vandeventer neighborhood. At approximately 4:19 p.m., authorities arrived at the 4200 block of Cook Avenue, where they discovered a male victim inside a vehicle. The man, later identified as 40-year-old Kirk Lowe Jr., had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
