On June 7, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 31-year-old Jamal Perkins was found fatally shot in the parking lot of Bottom Line Sports Bar & Grill, located at 1530 South Seventh Street in St. Louis, Missouri. A city park ranger on patrol in the nearby Soulard Park heard gunfire and discovered Perkins with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
