On June 25, 2023, at approximately 5:42 p.m., the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 902 N. Glenn Avenue in Springfield, Missouri. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Kayden Dorrell Morton with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
