On August 14, 2023, at approximately 1:50 a.m., 43-year-old Jason Bowdy was fatally shot inside his residence in the 2900 block of Old Hanley Road in unincorporated north St. Louis County. Another individual, 41-year-old Lance Ballard of Ferguson, Missouri, was also found deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds.
