On the evening of September 11, 2023, 23-year-old Javon Norfleet was fatally shot inside an apartment at the Woodbridge Apartments, located near West 35th Street and Wyoming Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to the scene shortly after 9 p.m., where they found Norfleet unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
