On October 26, 2023, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Maplewood Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 32-year-old Terron Vales in the courtyard of an apartment building, suffering from a gunshot wound. Vales was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
