On December 28, 2023, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Springfield police officers responded to a reported shooting at 818 N. Concord Avenue, Unit A. Upon arrival, they discovered 17-year-old Ty Reese James Glossip inside the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, Glossip succumbed to his injuries on December 30, 2023.
