On the evening of January 1, 2024, Keith Usery, a 44-year-old Black man, was found shot to death inside his home in Dellwood, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Officers with the North County Police Cooperative were dispatched to his residence on South Schlueter Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. after receiving a call about a person being shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Usery had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
