In a quiet Fenton, Missouri neighborhood, a domestic disturbance escalated into a fatal shooting on the evening of February 29, 2024, leaving 39-year-old Jarvis Person, a male, dead. The incident unfolded at a residence on Matthews Drive, where the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding domestic violence.
According to authorities, Person was in a romantic relationship with a 37-year-old woman and was assaulting her when a 20-year-old man intervened.
This younger man, who was known to both Person and the woman, and identified by neighbors as the woman's son, shot Person once.
Emergency services transported Person to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
