In Caruthersville, Missouri, the life of 24-year-old Myreon Carter, a male, was tragically cut short on the evening of March 4, 2024. Responding to a call, police found Carter unresponsive, having sustained a gunshot wound. He was swiftly transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into Carter's death led to the identification and subsequent charging of three individuals. Two men from Caruthersville, 28-year-old Jeremy L.
Grant and 27-year-old Gary Gale, are facing the severe charge of first-degree murder. The third individual, 26-year-old Antonio D. Rodgers Jr., also from Caruthersville, has been charged with accessory to first-degree murder.
The apprehension of the suspects involved a multi-state effort. While one of the murder suspects, Jeremy L. Grant, turned himself in to authorities, the other, Gary Gale, was arrested. Antonio D. Rodgers Jr. was located and apprehended in Houston, Texas, before being extradited back to Missouri to face the charges against him. Following their arrests, the legal process began to unfold, with court appearances scheduled for all three men. Both Grant and Rodgers were set for arraignment, while a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Gale.
