On March 4, 2024, at approximately 7:28 p.m., Caruthersville police responded to reports of gunfire near 61 East Haven. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Myreon Lanaz Dapri Carter unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
