On June 2, 2024, 51-year-old Lonnie Sansoucie from Branson, Missouri, was fatally shot in downtown St. Louis. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near Washington Avenue and 16th Street in the Downtown West neighborhood. Responding officers found Sansoucie with a gunshot wound; he was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
