On a Tuesday afternoon in Fulton, Missouri, tragedy struck the community. Jakiem O Braggs, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 16, 2024. The incident occurred on Kathy Street, where Braggs was reportedly ambushed in his car and died after returning fire.
The investigation into the shooting led to the swift arrest of four individuals. Among them were 19-year-old Quiara Walton, 20-year-old Emmanuel Brown, and 23-year-old Taeon Logan, all from Fulton.
A fourth suspect, a juvenile, was also taken into custody. Initially, charges were filed against the adult suspects, with Walton and Logan facing first-degree murder charges, and Brown facing a charge of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
As the legal process unfolded, there were significant developments. The charges against Taeon Logan were ultimately dismissed. Subsequently, a grand jury handed down indictments against three other individuals. Mitchell Henderson Jr., 44, and Quiara Walton were both indicted on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action, with Henderson also facing a charge of illegal gun possession. Emmanuel Brown was indicted for first-degree accessory to murder and armed criminal action. All three were held in the Callaway County Jail without bond, with an arraignment scheduled at the Callaway County Courthouse.
