In what began as a violent robbery attempt, 39-year-old Ashleigh Selmon, a female resident of University City, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, was tragically killed. The incident unfolded on a Sunday evening, September 15, 2024, when her son was working on his car in the parking lot of their apartment complex in the 6400 block of North Drive. Two men, later identified as 20-year-old Carlione Boyd and 22-year-old Terrell McCann Jr., approached him.
