On the afternoon of November 8, 2024, law enforcement officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting in the Dutchtown neighborhood. Around 3:20 p.m., police arrived at the 3400 block of Klocke Street, where they directed their attention to a rear alley following reports of gunfire. Upon investigating the scene, officers discovered a male victim lying unresponsive and not breathing, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was
identified as 33-year-old Kint Draper. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the discovery and transported him to a nearby hospital in hopes of saving his life. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the medical facility. The St. Louis police Homicide Division subsequently assumed control of the investigation, canvassing the area for evidence and potential witnesses to the daylight shooting.
Investigators released a detailed description of a suspect wanted in connection with the homicide. The individual was described as a Black male between the ages of 40 and 50, sporting a goatee. Surveillance or witness accounts noted that he was dressed in a brown or black puffy jacket, blue jeans, and blue boots, along with a light-colored hat, sunglasses, and black gloves. Authorities cautioned that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. As of the initial reports following the incident, no arrests had been made, and detectives continued to urge anyone with information to contact the Homicide Division or CrimeStoppers.
