On September 12, 2023, authorities conducted a welfare check at a residence near Third Street and Hadley Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey, where they discovered the bodies of 73-year-old Zofia Koc and her 33-year-old son, Peter Koc. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Investigators found no signs of forced entry into the home and are not seeking any suspects at this time.
