In the early morning hours of November 9, 2024, a jogger in Millville's Waltman Park made a grim discovery that shattered the morning's quiet. On the ground lay the body of 36-year-old Teaoshia Still, a female resident of Millville. Authorities were immediately alerted, and upon arrival, they pronounced her dead at the scene. The investigation quickly determined that Still had been the victim of a homicide, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to her head. Known to her loved ones as 'YaYa,' she was a mother of three, survived by a daughter and two sons.
For months, the case remained under investigation by the Millville Police Department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, with no immediate arrests made. The community was left seeking answers as authorities appealed to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the case.

Six months after the discovery of Still's body, a significant development emerged in the case. Law enforcement officials arrested 30-year-old Kirk E. Williams of Wildwood Crest in connection with the murder. According to the prosecutor's office, the investigation revealed that on the evening she was killed, Still had arranged to meet Williams in the park to return some of his belongings. It was during this meeting that Williams allegedly shot her multiple times. Authorities also stated that Williams was in possession of some of the victim's personal belongings after the fatal shooting. Williams was subsequently charged with murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and tampering with evidence. Following his arrest, prosecutors filed a motion to keep him detained pending trial.
