On February 2, 2023, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Henrico County Police responded to a reported shooting in the 5800 block of Kirkstone Circle, located in the Richfield Place Apartments near Chamberlayne Road and Interstate 95. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Kevin Devon Thomas inside a residence with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported Thomas to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
