On February 28, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Virginia Beach police responded to a reported shooting in the 5000 block of Finespun Last. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Heavonlei KeIda Jae Grant suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Grant was pronounced dead at the scene.
