On April 27, 2023, in Springfield, Virginia, 31-year-old Amanuel Belachew Solomon was found deceased alongside his sister, 38-year-old Meskerem Belachew Solomon, and her husband, 47-year-old Tiku Berhane Gebreeyesus. The tragic discovery was made by the family's housekeeper in the basement of their residence on Wild Spruce Drive. All three individuals had sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body.
