On a late summer evening in Henrico, Virginia, the life of 51-year-old D’Wayne Lamont Crawley was tragically cut short. On Monday, September 18, 2023, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Henrico Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Southbury Avenue in the Varina District following a report of a suspicious situation. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Crawley in the front yard of a residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
