In the quiet community of Carrollton, Virginia, the life of 30-year-old Marvin Guillaume-Sam, a male resident of New York, was tragically cut short on the evening of November 2, 2023. Responding to a call at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies from the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office arrived at the 13000 block of Smiths Neck Road to find Guillaume-Sam suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries, marking the third homicide in Isle of Wight County for that year.
The investigation into the violent death of Marvin Guillaume-Sam quickly led authorities to identify a suspect: 22-year-old Travis Wilson, who also went by the alias 'Niño Gambino.' The Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Wilson's arrest, describing him as armed and extremely dangerous. The search for the man accused of ending Marvin Guillaume-Sam's life came to a dramatic conclusion on March 1, 2024. After an extensive investigation, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended Travis Wilson in the neighboring city of Newport News. At the time of his arrest, he was 23 years old. Following his capture, Wilson was formally charged with the second-degree murder of Marvin Guillaume-Sam, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and discharging a firearm in a public place.
