On November 12, 2023, Darrio "Ju Ju" Mundon, a 32-year-old man from Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The event occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue. Mundon was found by police lying in a grassy area adjacent to a playground, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities have stated that Mundon was an innocent bystander who was caught in the crossfire during a gunfight.
