On June 25, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Axton, Virginia, resulting in the deaths of 39-year-old Ashley Marie Spencer Roberts and her husband, 41-year-old William Jason Roberts. The couple was found deceased when deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 11000 block of E. Fisher Road.
