Brittany Denise Cioffa, aged 29, was found dead on May 27, 2019, in her home in Axton, Virginia. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for a well-being check at around 1 AM. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of Brittany and her husband, Thomas Richard Cioffa, aged 38, with a gun near their bodies. Both bodies were subsequently taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for autopsies.
