On the evening of September 20, 2024, Chesapeake police responded to a reported shooting at the Heck residence on Sea Palling Lane. Upon arrival, officers found 41-year-old Christopher Heck with serious gunshot wounds near the front entrance. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
