In a tragic turn of events, a 45-year-old woman, Nicole Wanda Lynn Davis, and her husband, Joshua Lee Davis, also 45, were found deceased in their Manassas, Virginia, residence on October 13, 2024. The couple had been renting the basement of a home on Hanson Grove Court. Authorities discovered their bodies after conducting a welfare check at the residence. Both victims had been fatally shot.
The investigation into their deaths quickly led to a suspect, 49-year-old Amandeep Singh, who also resided at the Hanson Grove Court home. Investigators believe that prior to the murders, Singh was involved in a violent domestic altercation with two female family members in the main part of the house. During that incident, he allegedly held the women at gunpoint, physically assaulted one, and attempted to strangle the other. The two women were able to escape and were not physically harmed by the gunfire. It is believed that sometime after this altercation, Singh went down to the basement apartment and shot Nicole and Joshua Davis. Authorities have stated that the couple was not involved in the initial domestic dispute.
Following the murders, Amandeep Singh fled to New Jersey, where he was located and taken into custody by local authorities. He has since been charged with two counts of murder, in addition to charges related to the preceding domestic incident, including abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Singh was awaiting extradition back to Virginia to face these charges. Family members of Nicole Davis described her as a loving individual who could maintain a smile even through difficult times and had a deep affection for her family, nature, and cooking. She leaves behind two daughters and three grandchildren.
