On July 18, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police officers responded to a report of a shooting near Pineview Road and Cregger Lane in Manassas, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Ashlin Yamileth Paz in a nearby wooded area, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, Paz was pronounced dead at the scene.
