In a quiet, secluded area of Triangle, Virginia, the body of 43-year-old Jason Thomas Blake of Woodbridge was discovered. On October 27, 2024, an acquaintance found him handcuffed in the backseat of his own vehicle, having been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene, sparking a homicide investigation that would soon unravel a story of a deal gone violently wrong.
Investigators determined that two days prior to the discovery of his body, on October 25, Blake had arranged
a meeting with several acquaintances at a home on Cherry Hill Road in Dumfries. The purpose of this gathering was reportedly for Blake to purchase drugs and sell a firearm. However, the transaction took a dark turn when an altercation broke out. Blake was overpowered, handcuffed, and forcibly taken from the residence against his will. He was then transported to the isolated location on Triangle Street where his life was tragically ended.
The Prince William County Police quickly identified three suspects in connection with the brutal slaying. Between October 30 and 31, authorities arrested Jerrome Thomas Barnes, 40, Jackson Arthur Crisler, 30, and Tryevon Elgha Davis, 31. Barnes and Crisler are facing charges of murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, abduction, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Crisler faces an additional charge for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Davis was charged with accessory before the fact in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and abduction. All three men were taken into custody and are being held without bond.
