On January 28, 2023, 52-year-old John David Leone of Maplewood, New Jersey, was found deceased from gunshot wounds on Birch Creek Road in the Andrews area of Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Alongside him was 30-year-old Kimberly Rowell of Conway, South Carolina; both were pronounced dead at the scene.
