In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Andrews, South Carolina, the quiet of the 300 block of Jones Avenue was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a report of shots fired at approximately 1 a.m. on April 26, 2015, police officers arrived to a grim scene. They discovered 42-year-old James Miller, a male resident of Andrews, lying in the roadway. He had been shot multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
