Kejuan Shamar Collins, a 25-year-old man, was fatally shot on August 5, 2024, in the parking lot of his workplace, Safe Rack, located on Highway 521 near Andrews, South Carolina. Reports indicate that Collins had been involved in an ongoing disagreement with a coworker, which tragically escalated.
Deputies and emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call and found Collins with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Collins' father later recounted to authorities that he was on the phone with his son when he overheard an argument, followed by the sound of four or five gunshots.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office identified 20-year-old Ethan O'Neil Brown of the Nesmith community as the alleged shooter. Brown was last seen leaving the Safe Rack facility in a black BMW sedan. Arrest warrants were issued for Brown, charging him with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Brown later surrendered to authorities and is currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. The incident appears to be isolated, with no other injuries reported.
