On March 26, 2023, 60-year-old Benjamin Jesse Otis Means was found deceased in his Spartanburg, South Carolina home. Responding to a shooting report around 11:30 a.m., Spartanburg Police officers discovered Means lying on his living room floor with a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene.
