In the spring of 2020, a tragedy struck Spartanburg, South Carolina, with the death of 13-year-old Travis Cortez 'Coco' Steadman, Jr. The young male, born on October 24, 2006, was a student at Carver Middle School where he was known for his charming smile and friendly nature, never having met a stranger.
