In the spring of 2023, the life of 18-year-old Genesys Elizah Rice was tragically cut short in Simpsonville, South Carolina. A mother to two young daughters, Melody Noelle McGowan and Armani Gia' Mylee Lindsey, Rice was found deceased in her apartment at the Jasmine Cove Apartments on Harrison Bridge Road on the night of Saturday, May 6, 2023. The cause of her death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
