On New Year's Eve, 2002 an anonymous letter was received by the Vancouver Police Department. The letter referred to a female Vancouver sex trade worker who had disappeared one month earlier, at the end of November. The letter writer described the woman, admitted to killing her, and apologized to her family for taking her life.
