In the early morning hours of August 9, 2023, the life of 33-year-old Chadrick J. McKnight was tragically cut short in his hometown of Kingstree, South Carolina. Known affectionately as C.J. to his friends and family, the Black male became the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Cypress Avenue. The Williamsburg County Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity, and an autopsy was scheduled to determine the precise cause of his death.
