Kenston Carolina Jr., 18, a Black male from Kingstree, South Carolina, was shot on the evening of Thursday, June 12, 2025, outside Young’s Convenience Store on Hemingway Highway. Deputies found a vehicle in the tree line across from the store with two occupants who had been struck by gunfire; emergency crews rendered aid, transporting one victim to a hospital while the other died from his wounds.
