Alton Reaves, a 31-year-old resident of Kingstree, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 31, 2014. The incident occurred when Reaves was shot by a Kingstree police officer. According to reports, Reaves was seen waving a gun near people on Railroad Avenue. When the officer arrived at the scene, Reaves did not comply with orders to put down the weapon.
