On August 13, 2023, in Allendale, South Carolina, 34-year-old Ronnie Demone Crawford III was fatally shot near Bluff Road and Sam Street. Responding to a 911 call reporting gunfire, officers from the Allendale Police Department discovered Crawford with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate assistance from local law enforcement and the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Crawford succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
