On September 27, 2023, 20-year-old Christian George Wright Jr. was fatally shot at a car wash on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina. Responding to reports of gunfire around 7:48 p.m., police found Wright lying in the car wash area with a gunshot wound. Officers administered emergency aid before EMS transported him to Trident Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
