In the quiet town of Summerville, South Carolina, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend's life was tragically cut short. Marissa Funk Decker, a 46-year-old Caucasian female, was discovered deceased on October 3, 2023, in a hotel room at the Country Inn & Suites on Holiday Drive. The Berkeley County Coroner's Office was called to the scene around 3:35 p.m. and pronounced her dead, confirming that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
