On October 3, 2023, 46-year-old Marissa (Funk) Decker was found deceased in a hotel room at the Country Inn & Suites on Holiday Drive in Summerville, South Carolina. Responding to a call at approximately 3:35 p.m., the Berkeley County Coroner's Office pronounced her dead at the scene, identifying a gunshot wound as the cause of death.
