On December 9, 2023, at approximately 12:47 a.m., 24-year-old Demietrese Mack Evans of North Charleston was found deceased from a gunshot wound at 1846 Remount Road in Hanahan, South Carolina. The Berkeley County Coroner's Office confirmed that Evans died from injuries sustained from the gunshot.
