On February 14, 2024, 34-year-old Roshaun Middleton of Beaufort, South Carolina, was fatally shot in Bluffton. The incident also claimed the life of 33-year-old William Stewart of Hilton Head. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene after life-saving measures were attempted by police, fire crews, and EMS.
