On May 9, 2024, in Bishopville, South Carolina, a tragic shooting occurred at a residence on Herbert Lane. The house was struck by 49 bullets while six individuals were inside. Among the victims were 9-month-old Benjamin Griffin III and his mother, both sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Benjamin was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries on May 22, 2024.
