In the quiet town of Bishopville, South Carolina, a deeply unsettling act of violence shattered the community. On the evening of May 9, 2024, a home on Herbert Lane became the target of a relentless drive-by shooting. Inside, 9-month-old Benjamin Griffin III was with his mother and four other people. A staggering 49 bullets were fired into the residence, striking both the infant and his mother. The sheer force of the gunfire also caused a fire to break out in the home.
