On June 12, 2024, 38-year-old Kasia Dierra Simmons of Simpsonville, South Carolina, was found deceased on the side of Wilson Creek Road in Greenwood County. Responding to a shooting report around 9:15 p.m., authorities discovered Simmons had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, and her death was promptly classified as a homicide.
