In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Greenville, South Carolina, the life of 22-year-old Rogers Treyvond Robinson was tragically cut short. On June 19, 2024, Robinson, also known as 'Trey,' was in the parking lot of the Woodspring Suites on Orchard Park Drive shortly after midnight when he was shot multiple times. He was rushed to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the shooting led Greenville
Police to identify and arrest three individuals in connection with the homicide. Among those taken into custody were a father and son, Eric Davis Sr. and Eric Davis Jr., along with a third man, Lesean Morland. All three men are facing murder charges. According to authorities, an altercation preceded the deadly shooting. Warrants suggest that Eric Davis Sr. drove his son to the hotel, where he allegedly warned bystanders to leave the area before his son opened fire. After the shooting, the father is accused of driving his son away from the scene. Security camera footage was instrumental in the identification of the suspects.
A fourth individual, Amanda Hester, was later arrested and charged with accessory after the fact. Police believe that Hester drove one of the suspects away from the scene of the crime.
As the legal process continues, Lesean Morland, who prosecutors state did not pull the trigger but was aware that the crime was about to happen, has sought to have a bond set. He was reportedly in the car with the shooter when the gunman put on a mask and brandished a firearm. Eric Davis Sr. and Eric Davis Jr. remain in custody at the county detention center.
