On July 14, 2024, 19-year-old Isis Lorena Johnson of Summerville, South Carolina, was fatally shot at the Passage Apartments complex in Goose Creek. The incident also resulted in injuries to two other young women, aged 16 and 20, who were hospitalized. The assailant, an 18-year-old male relative, approached the victims as they were either in or attempting to enter a vehicle and opened fire before turning the gun on himself.
