On September 1, 2024, 31-year-old Shaveze Kirshun "Veze" Hampton-Finley was fatally shot in Honea Path, South Carolina. Authorities responded to reports of a domestic shooting around 1:30 a.m. on Black Street, where they discovered Hampton-Finley with a gunshot wound to the chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
