In the small town of Honea Path, South Carolina, the life of 33-year-old Kevin Nemiah Ellis, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the night of February 11, 2023. Ellis was at a local nightclub when he sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his abdomen. Emergency medical services treated him at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injury.
