R. Thomas Yarborough, aged 45, was one of the victims of the tragic events that unfolded in Honea Path, South Carolina, on September 6, 1934. This incident, known as the Chiquola Mill Massacre, occurred during the general textile workers' strike of 1934, which was the largest general strike in U.S. history. The strike began on September 1st and quickly spread across the eastern United States, including the small town of Honea Path.
